Create Your Own

This is where art class in high school comes in handy. You can acquire some tools like scissors, cutter, tape or glue and stapler, and some materials such as cardboards, art papers, glitters, pencil, colored pencil, water color, technical pen, markers, calligraphy pens and more.

With the art materials, you can draw out the card and color it on your own, or you can create the images by cutting out pieces via art papers and glue them together to create the colorful cards. You can create cards as simple as black and white, to colored cards, to cards with lights or sounds. It is not necessary to actually purchase the materials; you can simply look for items readily available at your own home.

E-Cards

As long as you have an internet connection, you can find services that offer e-cards for free. Some e-card services may require you to have your own e-mail address. The e-card would be sent to the intended recipient's e-mail address. Some e-cards are sent directly in the e-mail, others just send a link that redirects the recipient to another webpage that contains the actual e-card. There are providers that allow you to specify the exact date wherein the card would be sent. Once the recipient opens the card, a notification would be sent to the e-mail address of the sender.

Print Your Own

There are available software you can acquire that have predefined templates and designs helping you create your own card ready for print out. This software usually have cartoon or kiddy themes, but there are applications that allows you the flexibility to design something from scratch.
